Frequently Asked Questions

Doldowlod is in the heart of mid-Wales, near the Victorian spa town of the Llandrindod Wells.

Is Doldowlod licensed for civil wedding ceremonies?

No. Unfortunately, it is not possible to be licensed for civil marriages and still offer the site on a limited, exclusive basis. To preserve the intimate and discreet nature of our service, we have decided not to apply for a licence for civil marriages. However, we are within easy reach of the registry offices in Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells.

When is the site available?

We offer the site on a limited basis from May to September. Please note that before we accept any booking, we will discuss your plans with you to be sure that a wedding at Doldowlod will be right for you.

Do you offer a wedding planning service?

Although we are happy to liase with your marquee providers and caterers to arrange access, and will ensure that someone will be available all day to deal with any issues that arise, we do not offer wedding planning. However, we can offer a list of recommended suppliers who are familiar with the site, including wedding planners.

Where can we have photographs taken?

Doldowlod Hall has extensive grounds and gardens, and we will be happy to discuss your requirements and arrange a suitable site for your photographs.

Do you provide car parking?

Yes. We provide ample car parking adjacent to the marquee site.

Is the site only available for weddings?

No - we would be happy to accommodate any marquee-based celebration. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
